 Marion Police Department's K9, Silas

2020 we helped the Marion Police Department raise money to provide a bullet and stab protective vest for Silas.

We raised $1300 that was donated to Vested Interest in K9, Inc.

K9 Silas is a 2-year-old Belgian Malinois. Silas is certified in explosives detection and patrol work. Silas is assigned to his handler, Officer Adam Paulsen, who is a member of the Marion, Iowa Police Department. Silas joined the police department in October 2020 after spending six weeks with Officer Paulsen to become certified as a K9 team. Silas enjoys going to work every day and really enjoys training days.

Vested Interest in K9, Inc. established in 2009, is a charity whose mission is to provide bulled and stab protective vests and other assistance to dogs of law enforcement agencies throughout the United States. The vest is custom fitted and National Institute of Justice certified

Night to Shine

In 2015, the Tim Tebow Foundation launched an idea to honor people with special needs with a celebration of God's love for them. Now, every year around the world hundreds of thousands come together on one night around one dream...

St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Marion yearly hosts the event and Epic teams up with other local salons to provide these beautiful individuals with their hair and makeup needs.
